HPA Tanks

I recently got an hpa tank and was just wondering what all i could fill it with. I play more than just at fields so I cant get filled up there all the time. I was wondering if propane would work because its basically the same as green gas. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: HPA Tanks

good god man.......propane
its not a tippmann C3
Tippmann C-3 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

its a HPA tank (High pressure air)
only air in there

also you can go to welding shops or your local pro shops or scuba shops to get it filled if
you ask nicely

Well unless fire fighters / divers breath propane then I think you are a bit off
Maybe your local marina may have one or a local fire company would be nice enough to fill it for you

Can I assume you are an airsofter that has gotten into paintball since you mention propane and green gas which are common propellants in that game?

Paintball does nothing with Propane or green gas with the exception of grenade launcher shells the same as airsoft and the Tippmann C3 which actually combust the propane. As the others have said, HPA only in an HPA tank. There are different methods of filling, different properties of the gases in question, and different pressures that these gases can be done at. Now I am not an expert on Propane. But I have to assume it would be dangerous to pressurize it to the PSI you do HPA.

Its good to ask questions. You dont know unless you ask. I had alot of questions myself, especially on HPA stuff when I got into paintball. Now that I have played my first airsoft game, I am trying to educate myself about it as well. Lots of new stuff for me to learn.

Re: HPA Tanks

you can also fill your tank with nitrogen in addition to good ol' air, but i cant think of any place that uses nitrogen besides a tire shop and even then they cant fill to 3k let alone 4.5k

makes me shudder to think what the blast from this would be.
68 ci of highly combustible gas @ 45oo psi....YIKES!

HPA stands for Hi Pressure Air. It is what it is. Please NEVER fill one a these with anything but air, slowly and to the correct pressure.
Very dangerous stuff here.
