Hey guys, im on the ps3 so sorry for grammar etc.

my tippmann 98 custom with responstrigger shoots 2-4 balls at the same time, the paintballs just kinda fallout the barrel even when the velocity is high. when i pull the trigger 4-5 times (fast) the balls break or get stuck in the barrel. im new in the paintball area, i have some kinda electronic hopper from emir3 and a m16 tippmann 98 custom barrel.

Check to make sure that your detent is in the right way. Thats the little orange or yellow thing at the front of your marker, right before the barrel.

And that is exactly the symptoms of a missing/broken detent.

Thanks for the fast answers, i will take the gun tomorrow apart, i didnt see that piece yesterday when i took the tippmann apart, if it is not there or broke, where is a good place to buy a detent?

well if you have rollouts (if the balls fall out your barrel when you tip the marker forward and it is cocked) then it is the detent (broken or missing).

messed up detent is the only reason I can think of that causes more than one ball to be in the breach at one time.

a too high velocity will brake balls in the barrel. perhaps you have some broken o-rings? (this COULD cause breakages and dropoff but NOT several balls flying at the same time)

They dont just fallout, the gun is ready to shot,i pull the trigger and more then one ball shoot out of the barrel, sometimes far but most of the time ike 5feet

Yes you are having roll out due to no detent. Anytime you do not use a detent, multiple balls will feed when you fire. And due to there being multiple balls loaded, your velocity will drop drastically due to having to fire so many at once. Replace detent, problem sloved..

Okay the Detent is missing, but can you guys see anything else thats missing or that could cause problems?
