I know that this is a 98 forum BUT, its a tippman forum too. and i found a tippman C3 and have never heard of it before are they any good?

well it uses propane as its air source and iv heard they get like 50,000 shots per tank(5 dollar tank you can get from wal mart). it sounds neat. if i wanted a pump i may look into one.

depends, asfar as pumps go it isn't all that great/upgradeable/dependable. however as far as gas efficiency goes it is the most efficient marker in the world. and probably always will be. It gets like 50,000 shots per 16oz of propane.

The C3 was a flop. Besides the the reasons mentioned above, the primary reason was that people just didn't understand the concept of using propane. It is an excellent fuel source, but I think it was just a little before its time.

When Tippmann converts a 98 to operate on propane, then we'll talk...

dennice tippmann already own a patent for a semi auto propane powered 98. last I heard they were having cooling issues with it. one of the main reasons the c3 never took off was people were/are just suspicious of it. fire does come out of the barrel. technicaly I think that it is classified as a firearm.

Not in the USA. It must have a solid propellant to be classified as a firearm. Do you have a link to the patent?

wow guys, thanks a lot you have all really helped me out. as far as this goes though i think i will NOT purchase the C3. First off running through the woods with a tank of propane sounds...dangerous! and second im a lot more into.. upgradeable guns. thanks a lot everyone
