Re: Pepperball Guns

you have to be law-enforcement, security, bounty hunter, etc to acquire them...or know someone who is...

Re: Pepperball Guns

The reality of it all is we technically do have a pepperball gun in the markers we have. They are stock tippmanns

Re: Pepperball Guns

I know that. But those of us with tippmanns are the ones who have the basic pepperball launcher setup

Re: Pepperball Guns

I'd rather use my angel to shoot pepperballs than my 98... Dog wouldn't know what hit him...

Of course, tippmanns are far cheaper so I can understand why they'd be the obvious choice to market to law enforcement groups.

Re: Pepperball Guns

As ex-law enforcement I have used the pepperball launchers and I also own a 98 custom. I do know that the pepperball launchers are made to pepperball specs, internals are said to be a little different, not sure where. They also shoot 350+ pfs. The rounds are a harder plastic material, not the gel in paint. I also own the pepperball SA-8 which is basicly a tiberious T-8 with a differenet regulator in it. Hard hitting and effective for crowd control and cell extractions in jail and prisons. As far as price goes the avg price for the pepperbal custom carbine-s (i.e. 98 custom) is 400.00-500.00 and the tac-700 (i.e. A5) is 600.00-800.00. It would be cheaper for police depts to use off the shelf 98s and A5s but the liabilty issues using pepperball rounds in them would not be worth it. The material the rounds are made from is the big differnence. Here is a link to the FAQ for pepperball that talks more about the differences. I will say thou that if someone breaks into my house I have 2 mags loaded with pepperballs for my SA-8 that is waiting for them.

Re: Pepperball Guns

LOL....

Our department uses the FN303...which for all intents and purposes is an AGD AutoMag and weighted First Strike rounds specifically made for it.

As to the original question of finding an "under barrel gas mount", if the mount is like the gas-through that replaces the front grip [98/C] or the tombstone on an A5/X7/etc, use this:

105° ASA Adapter [CAHW052] - $50.00 : Palmers Pursuit Shop!, Where Custom Still Means Something

or this: 90 Degree ASA adapter [CAHW050] - $50.00 : Palmers Pursuit Shop!, Where Custom Still Means Something

Your tank would screw right into it but only so long as it were a slender tank like a 3.5oz or 9oz.
