| Re: What to do with old paintballs? How old are they? Like, 3 months? 6 months? As long as they break (drop them from ~6-7 feet, and catch them after they hit the ground (as in don't let them hit the ground more than once) count how many times you have to drop them till they break. If it's ~5-6, they're good. Any more and they aren't going to break very well.) and have flat spots and not craters, I'd still shoot them. Flat spots can be fixed if you massage the bag a bit. And the breakage can be altered by chilling them and such. |

| Re: What to do with old paintballs? depending on how old they are i would just put them somewere dry and turn the bag over every week, thats what i do and still got some from last season and it still shoots fine. im not shure about freazing them, that is what i was thinking of doing with some winter paint i got. i dont know if its bad for the gun however i dont see how it would be

| Re: What to do with old paintballs? I thought it might be bad for the gun if a ball broke inside of it. Because when you freeze a paintball the paint gets more sticky and gooey, instead of just normal liquid-y paint. I just thought that it may gum up the internals a bit.

| Re: What to do with old paintballs? Freezing paintballs makes them more brittle and prone to breaks in the gun. They generally will demple with the lowering of the air temp (because of the small amount of air trapped inside them) and will compromise their shell. My advice...don't freeze 'em and if they haven't been properly handled while stored for the last couple months then pitch 'em.
