| Re: Beginner upgrade I have a cyclone on three of my 98 two with egrips and one with rt. I like the cyclone on all three. -You say you want to upgrade(when I think upgrade I think preformance) if this is what you are going for then the cyclone is great. As for the egrip or rt I have both and like both just going to come down to where you play and there rules. A good barrel is always good thing. -So are you also wanting to change the way it looks(ak, M4 or something along those lines) I dont know much about this part because I have not done one like this yet.

| Re: Beginner upgrade dont get a cyclone. If you want a better hopper then get a HaloB or something similar. They can be found regularly for $40 or even $30 if your lucky. They are better than a cyclone and half the price. For your first upgrade I would suggest getting a barrel, Customproducts is my top choice. Dye Ultralites are great as well. customproducts.us

| Re: Beginner upgrade The general idea behind the clicky spring mod is that you put a spring from a pen(like the clicky ones that you write with) in place of the spring on the trigger. It supposedly makes the trigger easier to pull, in turn giving you a higher rate of fire. I did it to my 98, never could tell the difference.

| Re: Beginner upgrade i can give you nothing in the barrel category but i notice a difference in my stock spring. and polish the internals dude. that makes your marker more efficient and it is super easy to do

| Re: Beginner upgrade Don't bother putting in a clicky pen spring. Just go with no spring at all. It makes a huge difference in how light the trigger is. I also will second the suggestion to polish the internals. It's pretty easy to do, and helps in a lot of areas. It makes the marker cycle smoother, with better consistancy, efficiency, speed... It's not a huge leap forward, but it does make a difference. Proto barrels are ok. As far as quality goes, the'ye just fine. I, like BadMagic, highly recommend CP. Their 1-piece classic barrel is $30, and shoots money. It comes in several bore sizes, which is the biggest selling point to me. Only problem with them is that they don't look the best on a milsim gun. However, CP has their Tactical line of barrels that are $10 more, and have a much more tactical look (obviously). |
