| Re: New guy looking to learn. Actually, No I didn't. But, being a bodyman/mechanic, I do have plenty of air tool oil. I'm guessing that'd be ok to use since a marker is technically a pneumatic air tool. right? I mean I've used it on my now backup marker and my old 98 back when I first had one and it seemed to work great no issues with wearing out o-rings or anything like that.

| Re: New guy looking to learn. If you havn't had any issues with the backup then it might be ok depending on HOW LONG you have used it. I asked about the lube for more then lubing the o-rings on the rear "hammer" and front "bolt." Have you used it to run through your air line / valve on your other marker? I usually suggest people before using a new or old tippmann which has maybe sat for a while or had extreme use, to drop one AT MAX two drops of lube into the small hole that sits next to the push pin on the asa.

Hey mate welcome  Yea like those guys said, playing and seeing what can actually improve your game (or if your like me your athsthetics (i know i spelt that wrong :S)) is the best way, for example i bought a grip so it'd look cool, barely actually use it, and now its fallen off  Better off spending the money on something i needed. Still, at least it looked cool  |

| Re: New guy looking to learn. I see what you mean. Ok, so after i put a drop of lube in the little hole to the air line, do I then directly hook to air and put off a couple shots to run it through? I also picked up some marker lube at Dicks today. So I'm good there.

| Re: New guy looking to learn. Yes, I forgot to add - Make sure the gun is vertical and that the lube actually falls through the hole After you do so THEN air up and shoot multiple times. I too bought sticky grips which are comfortable but, bulky. I probably could have done without. Though I do like / bought hybrid grips just because they look cool =/

| Re: New guy looking to learn. So I lubed the air line, and it seemed to work alot smoother as I let loose on our backyard burn barrel. Thanks for the tip TippmannEffect. I also have a question about the foil type sticker that says "98 custom". Where could I pick up a replacement or one that says something else? Also, an ACT jewel for my left grip. Thanks again.
