| Re: Look what I found in my basement! I like that sight and i would be tempted like you to make it work, looking at it you could ither make another side like the piece that is soposed to "screw" into the gun so there is two sides that you could then drill a hole through them both and have a screw and bolt (or two) thus holding the two metal pieces together and making a nice riser, then it would be able to "sit" and tighten onto the top rails on your marker....if you can get what i mean from that. ha sorry...I know what i am thinking but DOING it wuold be a whole nother process. Ill try to draw up something for you to show you what i mean

| Re: Look what I found in my basement! i would drill a hole or two in the plate of the sight level with the one already there. (so you would have 2-3 holes in a line close to the bottom) then take a couple of nuts, bolts and washers and use the holes under the sightrail on your phenom and thighten it up. or you could do some serious modding if you'd like. |

| Re: Look what I found in my basement! I know I'm new here, and this is my first post, but I feel like I can help. I would try and get a basic 1" rail riser, grind the tabs off of one side so that it's flat. Then decide on what height you want the sight to be at on the gun. When that is decided cut the mounting plate of the gun to the proper height and drill some holes through the riser and the mounting plate and bolt them together. The cut mounting plate of the sight should sit flush against the riser where you shave the tabs down. This will also provide a system that could easily be removed if needed, or transfered to another gun. I'm picturing you using something like this, a 1" or so riser to make sure it's solid and there's some meat for you to use a half decent bolt and washer. This would also eliminate any need to modify the gun at all if you're looking to avoid that. If you cut the sight mounting plate right where it gets fat (under the TASCO label) I bet the sight would basically be sitting right on top of the rail. Just paint where you've cut and grinded so it looks pretty and you're set. ![]() |

| Re: Look what I found in my basement! Welcome to the forum!!! I have that EXACT mount for my other red dot sight..... I found that funny >>>> ![]() I think am going to buy another one and do some modding simular to what you said. I have some new ideas that I will post later.

| Re: Look what I found in my basement! I like studum's idea. it would kinda give you the look of a Dragunov scope (not sure what they're actually called), the way they mount on the side of the reciever instead of a standard sight rail. at any rate, cool find and good luck with the mod!

| Re: Look what I found in my basement! I made a trip to my beloved Scheeles Sporting Goods and bought a pair of 30mm round scope mounts... I am going to grind off the whole mounting plate and then attach it on to the weaver rails with the scope mounts. I will post pictures whenever I get the time to work on this project.
