What Hex did at work this week...

oh nothing, just another sliding trigger for an egrip, for a newer Milsig grip with a working FAL style safetly selector and a winter style (as use canadians put it) trigger guard. yup, no big deal, this will just be for my 98 LP ebolt bullpup...

tomorrow i'll:
-drill it out for the mounts/pins for the micro switch
-drill/tap a hole so a bolt can prevent the selector switch from falling out
-drill/tap a hole in the block (can't see it in the pics) i made at the bottom of the grip to bolt the trigger guard to.

i'm still thinking on how to make the selector "click" into position. right now its a nicely snug fit with the plastic grip frame so it doesn't move on its own. i also mounted a pin in the frame to limit the selector switch's movement

So is this going on your FAL milsig or one of your crazy 98 customs? Either way awesome work

Re: What Hex did at work this week...

i said its going on my bullpup 98

i will make another safety like this for my MilSig FAL but i'll have to machine a new trigger for that...but the FAL MilSig's trigger will rock and not slide.. ..thats simple though

like the 1911 sliding trigger i made for La Piglet, the sliding triggers i make are for non -mechanical guns only...i haven't had time or the need to prototype a mech version.. it's mainly the sear tripper and how to get that working in a simple manor.

Re: What Hex did at work this week...

I wish there was a simple (or easyer) way to get the rotator knob that lets you select safe or fire modes (like the X7 has) onto the 98 I really would love that on mine and I tried but failed....miserably...but your safety looks good...

Re: What Hex did at work this week...

actual fire modes on a 98? i dunno aboot that...there will never be a drop in product like that for the 98....the Hall Effect trigger system is pretty bulky ...i was going to scratch make a Hall Effect system and use an A5/X7 APE to power my ebolt, but now i'd rather have eyes so i'm going to use another SD T-board...that and i'm unsure if it can power a 4way solenoid
