Re: Look at what i made :)

The response trigger is a bit of a misnomer. The main part of the upgrade is an air driven piston that pushes on the trigger as the marker cycles. Depending on how it is tuned you can keep constant pressure on the trigger and get a multiple round burst. It could be a quick short burst or it could be more of a full auto burst.

Go with a r/tr, you should be able to find a used one for cheap (just make sure you get thick hoses with it) and the 98 r/t system is way beast compared to the a-5's... With a little practice, you can rip 12-15 bps full auto, and bursts.

Re: Look at what i made :)

you can sorten the pull of your trigger which helps with walking....this envolves drilling and tapping a hole for a small setscrew.....i dont endorse this because you are no longer able to use the stock safety (lots of info on this over on model98.org or copy the way they are on a TechT Fang trigger)...you can also make your own verson on the TechT hair pin trigger kit to shorten the distinst the sear needs to move before it trips the hammer...

You could pin the sear so it fires full auto, and use the RT to slow the rate of fire to a more controlable ROF. There are write ups about it on the A5og site. I've seen it on a X7, and he had it going about 25bps with a stock cyclone. You can pick up RT setups for $60 or so.

Re: Look at what i made :)

I may have an answer to my problem. When i originally bought my 98, it came with a e-grip, which later became screwy and made my life miserable and my night filled with nightmares on what was screwing with my gun... maybe a bit melodramatic.. well, i finally became aware that the e-grip was the source of my bursting problem and replaced it by a mechanical one. Since i want to shoot faster, i could use a R/T or a e-grip but i already have one said e-grip. Sure its a dead borad, but Tippmann tech services could maybe find me another one and ship it for way less than a new one right? Well, what i got to lose trying. i've sent a email to tippmann services explaining the problem with the faulty board and asking if they could ship me another one lets -pray
