Soft sear spring

If you remember, i had a problem with my Egrip trigger system, it was double shooting in semi auto. Tried lot of stuff and today i realised the last owner of my 98 had upped the dwell for some reason. Lowered the dwell to 5ms and now it helped a lot.

Story aside, its still double shoot, but way less often than before. When i installed it in my 98, i was missing the sear spring. The mechanical one was too strong for the noid. Since i just discovered the magic of the clicky pen spring mod for the trigger, i tried to put a clicky pen spring for the sear.

Can a too soft sear spring cause double firing? I wont know if i solve my egrip problem till i have the right sear spring i guess..

Re: Soft sear spring

yea if you clicky pen the sear spring in a mech 98 it will do the exact same thing.

also i thought that the stock spring was too soft for the e grip. least from what i heard the e grip spring is harder. i yet again could be wrong, but for sure i know that the clicky pen spring is way too soft for the sear. and it double firing like that will wear down your sear and hammer

Its not the number of markers you own it is what you have done to make them your own style of marker.

Re: Soft sear spring

ok well no matter what the clicky pen is bad and from what i read the e grip one is harder. so yet again just from what i read, and i am in no way saying you are wrong. but it could be time for a new solenoid. id wait for someone who is an e grip master minds opinion first but that is just knowledge from me reading
