Re: Realistic Woodsball Tactics

I've always like playing like this, especially at big games where the field can be acres and acres wide, takes some time and patience but can usually be very effective. Best thing to not get shot is making sure you're team knows what you're doing before hand or just be sneaky enough so they don't even know you're there (I've done this before actually ended up holding up one of my own team mates this way hehe)

My question though is what is the best way to counter the other team playing the tape line?

Re: Realistic Woodsball Tactics

The only real counter to beating a team playing the tapeline is to be better than they are. If you do get shot out, or see that they are strong siding up the tape, and then get shot out, make sure you walk to the middle of the field, and then across the middle to your dead box. Dead men may tell no tales, but they sure can be seen. Hopefully your team will recognize that the side you were moving up on is no longer secure and cover it appropriatly.

When you are working the tape, try to move quickly in small bursts, say 15-20', then stop and listen for a few seconds, then rush forward again. A slow moving target is an easy target than one quickly dashing forward and then stopping randomly.
