General Tactics for the Proper Utilization of Superior Force Strength When in a position to utilize superior pesonel and asset numbers, the oppourtunity should be used to its fullest.
-Superior Troop Numbers-
This can be used in two ways, in a way ment to instill fear and panic into your enemies so that you may take as much terrain as possible. Or when possible, to set up an ambush that should be nearly impossible to escape.
When crossing open terrain, Superior numbers should always be utilized.
March troops in a Wide spread out formation, do not allow troops to bunch up. Keep your best players an the wings of this formation, this will allow them to more easily sweep around and flank enemies. Any Armor or Artillery assets should be used to support these troops.
When setting up an ambush with superior numbers, use roughly half your troops as the main ambush group. use the remaining troops as reserve units.
The reserve units should be your less experienced troops, since an ambush needs to work the first time. Any Armor or Artillery assets should be used to support these units, but must remain well hidden.
-Superior Assets-
This includes Armor, Artillery, Fortifications, Communication Equipment, Operatives, Advanced Recon, and Superior Light Arms.
Armor-Any form of Armored Personel Carrier (APC) or Main Battle Tank (MBT) that is both mobile and armed, while providing an enclosed area for occupants that protects them from enemy Small Arms fire.
Armor should be used in two ways, leading a full on mechanized advance, Blitzkrieg style, or supporting infantry in their own endeavours. Armor, more than anything, has the ability to cause panic and confusion in the enemy lines. It merely being seen can cause an enemy line to buckle and retreat. Even if the enemy has the nerve to stand its ground an armored advance with proper infantry support should stand little resistance when confronted with a smaller force.
Armor is however useless in densely wooded areas, where their manuevers are heavily limited. Armor also is in high risk in urban areas where enemy forces can duck from building to building, and fire from elevated positions.
Artillery-Any long range weapon capable of launching munitions further than what they could otherwise be projected.
Artillery can be used to effectivly weaken enemy forces that are entrenched, or otherwise fortified. When possible, Artillery units positions should be kept hidden from enemy units, as well as be fortified. Artillery can be used to launch a number of munitions with differing applications, Ranging from Solid Shot, Smoke Shells, Multi-Shot, Etc. This is a Vey useful Tool for a Offensive Commander to have at their disposal. Its also very demoralizing, due to its long range capabilities, which put it out of range of enemy troops.
