A couple friends and I are going to go out of town to go set up a paintball game. And I was wondering what tactic you guys like best?

annother of my personal favorites is "baiting." I use this when i go up against a trigger happy speedballer. I will poke my head out and pulll it back in before the paintballs he is shooting ever get to me. so just about everytime I stick my head out he wasts 3-6 paintballs. that causes him to have to reload more often, it frustrates him, makes him more likely to do something stupid like Kamikazi, and if he can't controll his shooting he will run out of paint before me. I guess that it is sortof a cheap tactic but if he feels like shooting 20bps in a woodsball match I say it serves him right.

i like working in two or three man fire teams. we "leap frog" each other with covering fire, then flank

The tactic I like best is rushing/sprinting your team and taking as much territory as possible, then setup a 4 man cover team and a two man flanking team. We used this tactic several times last Saturday and totaly caught thw opposition off guard.

i like being on my own and try to flank because all tho it a team i like knowing that im the only one to be worryed about and it only takes one to slip past them to hurt them.

Flanking is ok but way to predictable. Just move up the middle in 2 or 3 man teams. The most important thing is to make sure you arent being flanked. Divebombing is also fun but not very tactical and can be pretty painful. In all my favorite tactic is just being smart. IMO fire teams should not be bigger then 5 and each person on the team needs to know their teammates VERY wel. By this I mean their setup, physical ability, how they play (such as aggressiveness), how hard their willing to work (are they willing to climb through a swamp for a game of paintball), etc. Im more of the lone wolf kinda player or just me and one other friend. The fewer of you that there are the less likely you will be seen.
