I'm with Druid on this one. I tend to play on-the-fly strategy and change roles constantly based on what the Op For gives me and what my team sitrep shows me. While I may look like I'm just sitting back and taking pot shots at you, you may not realize I'm planning a strategy/tactic against you. Whatever is at my disposal, I'll make use of it until there is absolutely no options left but to kamikaze the OpFor. Unless of course, I'm just sitting back and just enjoying the long balling game, which I do on occassion. Just to give me a little challenge when I'm not up to CQB.

Ive played all the roles except for the cheating, multi gun, grenade ones.
I can not play sniper for some reason... just something about waiting or prolonging a game bores me. I do like trying to sneak up on people but I cant just sit in cover unless Im sure someone will be walking by in the next 5mins.
I prefer decoy because it has lead to 3 on 1 situations which leave me strafing like crazy while popping shots in every direction
Leading a few people out in the open to try and take me down has helped a lot in some of my games. If I just have one other person on the same page to get behind the attackers while I cause a ruckus can take them all down.
I am hardly ever the last man standing but dueling it out or drawing fire from more than one direction is a freekin rush

I think that most players are a little bit of everything like stated above. Except for Zombies. I think that most people who love to play paintball are honest, at least I like to think so. I have called for a paintcheck on myself so many times that I can't recall the exact number.

But if I was going to narrow it down then I play the following roles:

Infantry: I go out and fight the OPSFOR and try to execute the plan of attack to the best of my abilities and improvise when that fails.

Scout: I have lead a small scouting party and lead ambushes when needed.

Sniper: Well this one not as much. I like to longball the opposing force and I am more of the designated marksman than a sniper.

Commander: This is something that I am getting used to. I have lead our small team in scouting missions and ambushes but I have taken a more active role since the leadership of my group moved away. Being the CO is somthing that I am getting used to and my guys know that it takes time to get my bearings, but we work thru it.

Like I said, I think we should all strive to play all of the different roles as with losing our CO, it has hurt or game as a "Team". But if you play everything, these little setbacks won't hurt the group as much as haveing everyone specialized in one aspect.

i say rogue/leader cause i charge in full steam and lay paint on anything that moves to keep them pinned and take them out and my head on fearless attitude seems to draw ppl to follow me

using usually my smaller "scout" 98 or my salvo
