Re: Cyclone or electric hopper?

If you have the cash, go cyclone. If not, look for a used Halo.

Re: Cyclone or electric hopper?

Brought up many times.

Here is the first question...

Do you plan on getting a non Tippmann marker in the future?

Re: Cyclone or electric hopper?

Electric. Most Likely you will want a differnt marker than your 98 eventually. Tippmanns are the only one that can use cyclones with out moding it and the marker. Get a used halo, 35 bucks and you will be able to transfer it from marker to marker.

Re: Cyclone or electric hopper?

Electric. Put on any gun, lower profile, less maintenance, lighter on paint. and in my experience they are more reliable.

Re: Cyclone or electric hopper?

CYCLONE ALL THE WAY BABY! If you can spend the cash on an electro in the future, then you can get an electro hopper then too.

Re: Cyclone or electric hopper?

If you plan on adding a sight to your tippmann, a cyclone with an x7 hopper is the way to go. Now, like others have said, you can't go wrong with a Halo B especially if you plan on having other markers. Performance wise, you probably won't notice too much of a difference to matter. Both have there problems. Cyclones can become blenders and Halos can jam. So honestly, it comes down to personal preference, money, and what you plan on doing in the future. Good luck on your decision!
