Talking New Marker

I plan on buying a Paintball maker this summer and i was wondering if the 98 custom is the right maker for me i hate the fact that it does not come with e-trigger and the CO2 tank is only 9 oz. a lot of upgrades would need to be done i know most of you guys will come with a long list of guns but my budget for now is between $0-170 so if you got any ideas plz tell me and oh don't forget the budget.LOL

Re: New Maker

the 98 platinum is a great marker to start out with. It is a beast, will stand up to the worse conditions. Another option is the A-5 (recently lowered price to $175) it has a cyclone feed system on it stock, I love it. You can always upgrade in the future. I would recommend staying away from spyder markers, i feel they are the cheapest of them all. I also am not a big fan of smart parts either, unless you go with the SP1 it seems to be a decent marker for the price. But the 98 is a quality gun that has many upgrade options if you choose to do so.

Re: New Maker

If you play woodsball then the 98 custom is the right gun for you. At actionvillage.com they have a 98 custom act with egrip for $199.99. It might not be in your budget but this gun will not let you down.

Thanks guys and yeah i'm into tourney style paintball i will probably go with the 98 custom at Walmart for $160 but it doesn't come with A.C.T or e-trigger but i'm sure that will be ok.

Re: New Maker

The one that rajin posted is a great deal. The ACT will stop you from chopping even with the stock grav feed. My friend has a regular old 12 volt revvy on his and he doesnt have to worry about his RT outrunning it and chopping because of the ACT.

Re: New Maker

paintball is a very expensive hobby, so anything to save a extra buck!
Also must recommend a good mask and sounds like your on a budget, so i suggest getting a Vents cylus mask with thermal lenses.

Re: New Maker

I've decided i'm going with this gun.http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=5223250

Since it is the same as this one but cheaper. http://www.actionvillage.com/is-bin/...QAAAEJEMnspNEj
But ActionVillage is actually a pretty cheap website i'll probably buy a 20 oz. co2 tank and a 16" barrel.Oh yeah have any of you guys ever played at the badlandz field in illinois? just wondering.:smackingballs:
